Climatree Project Update #001

We’ve built a full scale prototype to help us iron out the kinks! As a first of its kind rainwater harvesting tower there are plenty of them to iron out. Thankfully, there’s nothing we can’t solve. We are documenting our process here.

We’re designing, prototyping and building as fast as we can with the resources we have. Our aim is to have the tower built and installed within 6months. As we iron out more of the kinks we will be able to commit to an exact date but right now there’s still a lot of prototyping to do. Our main focus is to deliver a high quality project and we’re happy with progress so far. Until it’s complete we’re going to keep posting updates so that you’re kept in the loop.

Signalling the Arrival of a New Pyrolysis Plant

As a lengthy commissioning phase nears completion, and a new pope is about to be elected, it’s a timely coincidence that Carbon Clean is set to announce its arrival with plumes of white smoke. This pyrolysis facility has been years in the making. The following is a brief account of

Building A Passive Gravity Valve To Prevent Air Ingress #1

This passive gravity valve is made for the discharge outlet of a screw conveyor with a DN250 / 10inch outlet. Primarily, the valve is needed to stop the uninterrupted ingress of air into the conveyor and consequently into the pyrolysis process of which it is a part of. In order

Carbon Clean Progress

Carbon Clean’s first commercial scale pyrolysis plant has been completed at their facility in Claremorris, Co.Mayo Ireland. It is now available for commercial scale applications including activated carbon regeneration, biomass pyrolysis and soil remediation. The plant has a throughput of approximately 1.2 tonnes per hour and a operating temperature range
